What is Capoeira?

Capoeira is a dynamic high energy Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of music, dance, martial arts and acrobatics.  

It inspires freedom of expression through flow of body movements and creativity.

What will I learn?

Our course is based on the foundation of Capoeira movements and music

Everything they learn is progressive in all aspects involved.

You will learn the basic steps to playing capoeira like the ginga, basic kicks and defence as well as a few basic acrobatics like cartwheels, hand- stand, head-stand and bridge.

Do I need any previous experience?

No you do not. Everybody of every level is welcome to join our group!

​

Do I need to be fit to join?

No you do not. Join class and feel free to follow it at your own fitness pace.  Eventually your body will adapt and you'll be able to follow class at a higher intensity and obtain longer endurance.

What should I wear?

All students must wear our groups capoeira outfit, t-shirt pants and corda (grading level). No shoes necessary, unless class is hosted outdoors.

Uniform can be can be ordered directly from your instructor or through email. 

How Long are classes?

Classes are usually either 1 or 1:30hrs per session depending on class location
